Our good Bishop Barron might study the life of Bishop Durick - I believe he had a change of heart after signing that letter.
Again, back to Ratzinger's prophesy in 1969 about a smaller church that no longer inhabits the halls of power or positions of influence (I think you were echoing that at the end of your video) ....it seems inevitable, doesn't it? Clergy in love with the trappings of power who drive away Christians in droves by refusing to listen, refusing to bear witness for Catholic Social Teaching, though they might write books about the theoretical concept of CST.

Yes, Paul, thank you for giving voice to my concerns and observations- like Karen, I stopped listening to any voices attacking Pope Francis, and am more than disappointed by the way Bishop Barron is now attacking the Synodal Way…showing his true colors and how he really is on the side of those voices trying to cause division instead of unity, both within the church and in our communities and nations. I would recommend to Bishop Barron and to those priests who follow his example the life and example of Blessed Stanley Rother. Blessed Stanley Rother served indigenous Mayan people in Guatemala, the Tz’utujil people, during a time of civil war where a repressive government regime viewed the Mayans as an enemy group and killed them. Blessed Stanley Rother was put on a death list and his diocese had him come home to Oklahoma but he wanted to return to his people, and he did. He is quoted as saying “The shepherd cannot run at the first sign of danger.” He is an example for American shepherds to be active and caring AMONG your people, to know them, be present with them and truly love them. He ate with them, farmed with them, visited them, brought them supplies, he translated scripture into their dialect and learned to say the mass in their dialect. He reportedly baptized over 10,000 in his time serving and was greatly beloved. He is also an example to us because he did not bend to the Guatemalan govt’s racial prejudices and tactics of calling the Mayans “leftists”, dangerous etc. nor let it stop him from seeking to serve his people. He is the first US born priest to be beatified and first US born martyr for the faith. So proud of him.
