The fourth video in this series dives into an ancient and essential, but rarely discussed, teaching of the Church: The Universal Destination of Goods.
The material goods of the earth belong to all of humanity so that everyone can live a dignified life. Therefore, everything a person needs to flourish—food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, work, education, etc—are human rights grounded on our infinite dignity.
God destined the earth and all it contains for all men and all peoples so that all created things would be shared fairly by all mankind under the guidance of justice tempered by charity. (Gaudium et Spes 69)
